ABOUT
Marena Salerno Collins is a marine conservationist, quantitative ecologist, and long-time musician. In marine conservation, her focus areas are bioacoustics, marine mammal behaviour, and density estimation and abundance. She hopes her efforts can contribute to restoring more healthy ocean ecosystems.
Additionally, Marena is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and artist. Her songwriting is influenced by artists like Pheobe Bridgers, Rhye, Julie Byrne, and Ethan Gruska. She aims to combine her classical strings, alt-pop-influence, and electronic sounds into an intimate, contemporary, and easy-going listening experience. She is excited to announce new music soon! Stay tuned.
Marena is currently accepting remote work in quantitative ecology and biological analysis as well as recording jobs and collaboration for violin, viola, voice, and tenor saxophone.
